Sean Grassie of Winnipeg has Manitoba on top of the Canadian mixed curling ranks for the first time in 17 years.
Grassie defeated Ontario’s Wayne Tuck 6-4 on Saturday to win the 46th edition of the Canadian mixed curling championship, held at Arniatok Arena in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
It’s the eighth mixed title for Manitoba since the championship began in 1964 in Toronto. Alberta leads all provinces with nine wins, while Saskatchewan also has eight victories.
