It wasn’t the easy way to do it, but Kelly Scott won’t complain. After losing both the “A” qualifier and “B” qualifier at the Canadian Olympic Curling Pre-trials, Scott’s foursome from Kelowna, BC came through with a 9-4 victory over Sherry Middaugh in the “C” qualifier to qualify for the Olympic Trials in Edmonton in December.
Scott joins Jennifer Jones, Shannon Kleibrink, Cheryl Bernard, Stefanie Lawton, Crystal Webster and Krista McCarville at the Roar of the Rings December 6 to 13. One more berth is yet to be determined Saturday afternoon in the other “C” qualifier taking place between Marie-France Larouche and Amber Holland.
