The curling heroes in your community can get star treatment at a Curl BC Awards Banquet if you act now to help them get the recognition they deserve.
The 2017 Curl BC Awards and associated banquet will take place on June 3 in Kelowna at the Business of Curling Symposium. The winners will be treated to a meal and will be given the opportunity to say a few words and mingle with friends from the BC curling community.
If you know of someone who has had an extraordinary year, or who has been a tireless supporter of the sport in your community, make sure you tell Curl BC about it. The nominations must come in by April 30, 2017.
Our Annual Curl BC Awards are a great way to give these heroes special recognition and to say a big “thank you”.
Simply visit the Curl BC Annual Awards Page to make your nominations. People are asked not to nominate people within their own family.
The winners will be selected by the Curl BC awards committee from the nominated individuals and teams and the winners will then be invited to the banquet.
For the 2016-17 season, awards will be given out for Team of the Year, Master Curler/Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Official of the Year, Jr. & Adult Female & Male Athlete of the Year and Athlete with a Disability. These awards fall under the Previous Curling Season Annual Awards.
There are also Annual Service Awards for Sponsor and Club of the Year and Long Service Awards for Club Volunteer, Builder, Long Service Volunteer, Youth & Jr. Curling Program Volunteer.
In the Exceptional Service Awards category, there is also a Curl BC Friendship (a team may nominate local supporters or sponsors in this category) and Customer Service Award.
