ParticipACTION has developed a micro-granting program, administered by viaSport, that will support not for profit community organizations, schools and municipalities who are planning to deliver 150 Play List programs and events in 2017.
The deadline to apply is April 24.
The 150 Play List is a national program designed to encourage all Canadians to sit less and move more in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday.
The programs or events should be inclusive, open to all free of charge, or at a minimal cost, and give the participants the opportunity to complete one or more of the physical activities on the 150 Play List.
Micro grants range from $300 to $1,000 and can support qualified instructors, equipment, marketing and promotion and other costs that will make the program or event even more impactful. Examples of eligible on-going programs (at least 4 weeks) and events include: weekly try-it sessions, multi-sport or multi-activity programs, open-houses, tournaments, mayor’s challenges, try-it days, neighborhood fun runs, or multi-organizational events.
